Grungy Birthday

So here is a card good for man or woman.... A dark, grungy, simple card...

The designer paper makes it look little grungy I think... and the sentiment form Stampin' Up!'s Label Love has a the same grungy look too. Took me forever to decide on what other embellishment I wanted to add since I still wanted to keep it a little manly... tried ribbon, linen thread, bakers twine...... finally I settled on brown and white bakers twine.

I was not up for the white in the twine.... but then I realized it adds a pop of color!!

Congratulations Newly Weds

I am trying to make most of these days off that I have had since Tuesday (thank you Winter Storm Pax). But, can't complaint.... am getting to do what I love (besides teaching).... so here is another card. This is inspired from Splitcoaststampers card sketch challenge # 471 It is a cute little design.... as usual... I did change it up wee bit... most stays same.

Black and White somehow to me is elegant and perfect for wedding. The cake is stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I added some clear gemstones to the cake pedestal... give some bling :D

The congratulations you see in the background... well its a washi tape/craft tape... that I found few months ago in a local store called Love Street in Smyrna .... a store with some funky collectibles and fun gifts. It was a pack of 6... I bought 2 different boxes.... not sure where I was going to use them... finally I got to use it today :D

Geometric Birthday

My card today is inspired from Freshly Made Sketches Sketch #123 I love the design... with the circles on them. The sketch has 8 circles, my card has just 6 .... however, I liked it better with 6. If I had not created the layers I did...I am sure I could have fit all 8.

Simon Says Stamp's February kit has this nice blue cardstock... which you can barely see in the picture...but I promise it shows in real (the small squares are punched from the same cardstock). I wanted to create a unisex card...that could be for either...thats why I decided to add the squares and circles and choose neutral colors.

I popped the blue-white layer on the brown card base and kept the squares and circles flat. In the end I did pop the sentiment...yesss guilty!! I love popping elements on my cards :)) and the faux stitch...yes... had to add that...it just gave a nice finishing touch!

This sketch was fun to play with :D

Birthday Balloons

Have you seen those cards with little envelopes in the front of the card with little hearts or flowers coming out. Those are so cute I think :) Recently going through my dies...found this ornate flap envelope die I had bought through Amazon. It is a small envelope....so perfect for cards! So here is my card:

The balloons are from Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! that I hand stamped and hand cut (the stamp has 5 balloons together). I used Wink of Stella glitter pen and glossy accents for some finishing touches to the balloons.

The balloons are popped using foam glue.... gives perfect floating look :D

Together-Always, Forever

Day 2 of being iced in... here is another card I came up with. The sketch idea came from Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 332 I did twist it a little....changed some things. So here is the card:

The sentiments are stickers from my Simon Says Stamp Card Kit that I colored with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen and Glossy Accents.

The Champagne glasss are stamped, colored in using Wink of Stella Gold glitter pen and hand cut. I popped the glasses, one heart and always, forever banner. I colored the hearts with Wink of Stella clear glitter pen as well. Infact, the little hearts on the DSP tag are also colored in with the clear glitter pen.....Wink of Stella glitter pens my new favorite :D

Birthday Smiles

Here is another card using stamps and Paper from Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card Kit. A fun and colorful Birthday card. The stamp set "Thinking of You" has a cute border stamp that I used to make the background.

I used Stampin' Up! Inks and love how the colors blend well. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. This set also came with some chipboard embellishments, mostly arrows in different designs and sizes. I decided to use this straight arrow.

With the card Kit, I had also ordered Wink of Stella glitter pens. I used Clear pen to color the arrows, the dots in the circles and some of the dots in the background (you can see some of the circles looking more colored in....I ran the glitter pen on them :D)

Masculine Birthday

So while Winter Storm Pax pours his love (Rain, Ice and Snow Mix) on us, I decided to put my efforts in creating during our time off. Recently, I enrolled myself in Simon Says Stamp's (Henceforth SSS) Monthly Card Kit and I received my February Kit almost 2 weeks ago. It has beautiful DSP, cardstocks, a stamp set, ribbon and some embellishments. There are some cute DSP's in the kit....One of the designs is that of like spilled water on paper.... and in 3 colors...orange, gray, and blue. As soon as I saw it... I thought masculine card :))

So here is my card... a Masculine Birthday card.... it is (ofcourse) inspired from a card I saw on pinterest using the 3 DSP's from SSS February Stamp Kit.

It is a single layer card... with Kraft base. I used the Itty Bitty Banner die by Stampin' Up! to cut out 2 banners for each colors. The sentiment is from Banner Sayings by SSS, which I stamped, cut and layered on sized Kraft banner. I sponged the edges of the card, banner strips and the sentiment with Early Espresso (Stampin' Up!)

I love how the whole thing turned out...colors and the sentiment! It took me few minutes to decide on where I wanted it. Original card had similar thing at the bottom. But my sentiment is larger so I glued the created image in the middle.

The card needed something.... so I added the black lines as border.... gives a nice finishing touch!

Welcome Baby card

So here is  a quick card that I had made over a week ago. Trying to experiment with copic markers and the image in this card is super cute...so I decided to make this card.

This image is from Stampin' Up!'s I stamped it in black and then colored it with copic markers and hand cut it to get just the stroller and the baby. Its popped up adding another layer of fun :))

I just love the little head popping out of the stroller.....makes it super cutesy!!

This card is made for personal use... We are going to see friends who had a new baby....so thought this would be perfect!

Until next time,

Happy Krafting,

Cheers =)
