Flower Birthday

As much as I love crafts, I love cooking as well. For past few months I haven't had a blender..old one burned down on me :(.... But I kept using my magic bullet to puree anything and everything. However, sometimes the small size of Magic Bullet did not help..so I decided to go buy a blender..bought me a Ninja =) Anywaz... so right next to Bed Bath and Beyond is MICHAELS... my fav store ;)

Moving through the scrapbook section, I found something called Microbeads.. now I might be late in using these... but I just noticed them. So I bought me a pack of six colors. These Microbeads are tiny (I mean really tiny!!) and can be stuck using glue :D While there, I also bought a new stamp that I used in this card.

I stamped the background and used glitter and Microbeads to fill in the flowers. The card is very simple, however the glitter and microbeads make it look pretty. A little closer look:

Simple Birthday Wishes

Getting back to my craft room feels awesome.... when making this card it took me a few minutes to decide what I wanted to do. The stamp-Triple Treat Flower, that I used here, I've had it for a while now. You could stamp it directly on Cardstock or could make a punched out flower using Fancy Flower Punch, 5-Petal flower punch and 1/2" circle punch to make layers.

I did not have the 5-Petal Flower punch until my last shopping at Stampin' Up! before leaving for my vacation. So now that I had all the ingredients to make this flower... I had to use it =)

Bright, Shimmery Wedding card

After being away for almost a month, it feels good to be back to making cards =) As much as I enjoyed my vacation, seeing family and friends...I really missed my craft room, stamps, punches and everything else. Its been few days we have been back, and still trying to cope with the jet lag, but I am off to my brother in laws wedding...Exciting!!

So here is a card I made, keeping in mind our Indian wedding traditions...bright, red-green, shimmer...

I was going through splitcoaststampers.com's  sketch challenge thread. The sketch looked like this

I altered it a little bit by not putting the ribbon on top, especially since I embossed- dry and wet, my paper. Adding a ribbon just did not look right... However I like how the card turned out and hopefully the receivers will like it as well :D Main aim is to wish them on their special day =)

Until next time,

Happy Krafting,

Cheers =)
